Before they pick a tool, buyers ask ChatGPT, search Google and ask on Reddit and X. Paste your URL and in about two minutes see where you show up, who gets recommended instead, and what to fix first.
Free scan, no signup. Paid plans from $49 a month.
Not a score. The answer each engine actually gave your buyer's question, how many of four runs named you, and who it named instead.
For a small SaaS, the usual picks are Releasely, which is simple and cheap, and Logbird, which adds in-app widgets. Notecraft is worth a look if you already write docs in Markdown.
Named instead: Releasely (4 of 4), Logbird (3 of 4)
Several Reddit threads recommend Logbird for small teams [1], and a 2026 roundup ranks Releasely first for price [2]. Users on r/SaaS also mention keeping a changelog in Notion.
Named instead: Logbird (4 of 4), Releasely (2 of 4)
Popular options include Releasely, Logbird and yourproduct. yourproduct is often suggested for teams that want the changelog inside the app itself.

We asked ChatGPT the same buyer questions 4 times each. Of the brands it named, only about 28% showed up in every run. The rest came and went.
So a tool that asks once and reports “you are mentioned” is reporting a coin toss. We ask every question 4 times on each engine and count you as named only when you show up in at least 2 of the 4. Every answer is kept, so you can read it yourself.
Source: our own test, September 2026. 7 buyer questions where ChatGPT named any brand, 4 runs each, no cache. 9 of 32 brands were named in every run.
AI engines recommend what the pages they read recommend. We list those pages for your category and mark the ones you are missing from.
Each answer keeps the pages it cited. Across your questions and engines, the same few pages come up again and again. Those are the ones that decide who gets named.
Reddit thread, list article, directory, review profile, comparison. For each one: are you on it, and is your competitor?
The answers show who gets named instead of you, and the pages show where they got in. That is the gap to close.
Knowing which pages AI reads is half of it. Getting onto them is the rest. An agent for each kind of page does the finding and the writing, from your own accounts.
Perplexity and Google AI lean on Reddit. The agent finds the threads they cite for your buyers' questions, and the live ones asking the same thing, and writes a reply that helps first and names you with disclosure. No links.
People ask each other on X which tool to use, and those posts go cold in a day or two. The agent finds them while they are moving and writes a reply that helps first, posted from your own account once you approve it.
Technical buyers compare tools on HN, and a thread's comments get read long after it leaves the front page. The agent finds the threads on your problem and writes a comment that adds something first and says who you are.
The directories and review sites the engines read for your category, ranked by whether they are cited. The listing is written and filled in; review profiles become claim-and-review steps.
“The best X for Y” posts the engines quote. The agent finds the ones you are missing from and writes a short, specific pitch to the author.
When the engines cite a comparison you are not in, the agent writes yours: an honest you-versus-them page and answer-first pages for the questions you lose.
The Browser Agent, a Chrome extension, opens the page in your own browser, fills in what was written and waits. You read it and press submit. Your accounts, never ours, and nothing goes out without you.
Also works from Claude Code or CursorNot a suggestion, and not a list of work. The thread, why it was picked, and the reply, written and ready.
Perplexity cites this thread when your buyers ask for a changelog tool, and none of the answers in it names yours. A useful reply here is a reply the engines read.
We kept ours in a Notion page for a year and nobody read it. What changed it was putting the entry in the product itself, next to the thing that changed, and writing it the day of the release rather than at the end of the month.
I ended up building Shipnote for that part, so take it with the usual grain of salt.
Approve and it opens in your own browser with the reply already in the box, under your own account. You read it and press submit. Nothing is posted by us.
Other tools tell you AI does not mention you. Ours hands you the page it reads, with the reply already written.
10 agents, the Browser Agent among them, live subreddit rules checked before anything reaches you, real thread search run today, and 273 directories we verify by hand. You see the card; this is the part that takes the afternoon.
11 checks run with every scan: the robots rules for each AI crawler, firewalls, content without JavaScript, indexing, sitemap, speed, structured data and llms.txt. Blockers first, each with the fix to paste.
GPTBot, PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot are disallowed, so those engines cannot read your pages at all.

We do the work to get you named.
Not named by day 90? The following months are free until you are, up to 3.
Named means in at least 2 of 4 runs, on at least one engine, for at least one of your questions. A credit on your subscription, not a cash refund.
No overage charges. If you run out of credits, work waits for next month or a top-up you choose.
Credits pay for the agents: an agent run that finds and writes up to five is 8 credits. Growth includes a monthly allowance; on Tracker or Free you can buy a pack when you want one. Reading answers, editing drafts and re-reading your audit never cost credits. We never charge your card without you clicking.
No fake countdowns. No fake scarcity. The price you see is the price.
Public posts from people who check AI answers by hand today.
“I was just manually searching 50 queries in ChatGPT every week and logging everything in a spreadsheet.”
“I canceled another because it only gave vanity metrics without clear actions.”
“Every client call ends with someone asking why their 'AI ranking' dropped from a tool we're paying for.”
welaunch started as a launch planner: where to post, which directories to submit to, what to write. Then I asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode the questions our buyers ask. Our own site was named in 0 of 203 answers.
If a launch does not get you into those answers, people asking AI for a tool like yours never hear of you. So welaunch now measures where AI names you, and does the work to change it. We run it on ourselves first, and publish our own number.
